Chewsday Tuesday – Mocha Oatmeal

Mocha Oats


  • 1/2 cup rolled oatmeal
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup brewed coffee
  • 1/2 to 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder (depending on how chocolatey you want it)
  • 1 teaspoon sweetener


  1. Microwave oats and oatmeal on 50% power for about 4 minutes.
  2. Mix in coffee, cocoa powder, and sweetener.
  3. Enjoy.

This was pretty yummy!  I might add a few mini chocolate chips next time, and top with some homemade whip cream for the full mocha effect.  Also, you can play with the water to coffee ratio too…I added 1/2 cup coffee and 1/4 cup water for more of the java taste.
